Exploring the Scientific Frontiers of
Nanocrystal-based Technologies

On July 8-9th, 2006, Becolli Nanomaterials and Space Sciences, directed by Thomas Beck, assembled a world-class group of scientists, engineers, and scientific advisors to investigate the potential of specific nanotechnologies. Our novel materials are designed to deal with some of the world's most pressing concerns, and promising ideas:

  • New methods of clean, sustainable energy production
  • Life sustaining technologies that moderate the impact of industry on global warming, and enhance the quality of life on Earth

Consciousness Research

As consciousness researchers, we seek to integrate modern science and spiritual experience, to bridge clinical and transpersonal psychologies, and the spiritual traditions of the world. The investigations of Drs. Beck and Colli extend to the scientific arena through co-authored articles in peer-reviewed journals and publications. The following research integrates modern science, extraordinary experience and healing.

Nothing New Under The Sun:
Implications for the Dissemination of Galactic Knowledge

Thomas Beck, Ph.D. and Janet Colli, Ph.D.
Shift in Action, 2007, Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS)

Abstract: Diffusion theory argues that given the vast amount of time the universe has existed, extraterrestrials have had time enough to cross the Milky Way galaxy and establish a community of civilizations. One implication of this hypothetical, intra-galactic dispersion of civilizations deserves mention. Namely, that every innovation of human genesis has likely occurred countless times within these advanced civilizations. The sheer number of civilizations that have hypothetically existed for eons supports this. The idea that there is nothing new under the sun may be true, after all.

EnergyUnity Consciousness:
A Quantum Bio-Mechanical Foundation

Thomas E. Beck, Ph.D. and Janet E. Colli, Ph.D.
Journal of the International Society for the Study of Subtle Energies and Energy Medicine (ISSSEEM),
2005, 14(3) pp. 267-301.

Abstract: Citing research in consciousness, quantum physics, biophysics and cosmology, we propose the collective amplification of quantum effects as the basis for scientifically describing Kundalini awakening, and the higher-order, emergent phenomenon of Unity consciousness. Such alterations of consciousness have their origin in quantum-scale processes, such as self-induced transparency, superradiance, superpositions, quantum tunneling, and Bose-Einstein condensation. Microtubules are considered to be key components in non-local, quantum processes critical to human consciousness. We postulate that bundles of fibers (neural cells), each containing numerous microtubule "lasers" acting in unison, collectively result in a massive surge of light energy to the brain. The sudden onset and radically altered nature of such states are consistent with a model based on the activation of a laser. The liquid crystalline nature of the human body likely provides a foundation for the non-local aspect of Unity consciousness. The unifying paradigm of the "quantum hologram" is introduced to apply quantum properties to macroscopic events.

A Quantum Bio-Mechanical Basis for Near-Death Life Reviews

Thomas E. Beck, Ph.D. and Janet E. Colli, Ph.D.
Journal of Near-Death Studies, Spring 2003, Vol. 21, No. 3, pp. 169-189.

Abstract: Near-death life reviews pose a challenge to current memory research in terms of the sheer amount of instantaneous and empathetic information recall. Advances in quantum physics, bio-mechanics, holographic information theory, and consciousness studies support for the first time a quantum bio-mechanical basis for near-death life reviews. We introduce the unifying paradigm of the quantum hologram as a non-local carrier of information. We further investigate the interrelated phenomena of non-local communication, and the electromagnetic zero-point field (ZPF). Recent confirmation of the ZPF lends credibility to vast memory storage capabilities outside the physical body. Microtubules are considered to be key components in non-local, quantum processes critical to human consciousness. Discovery of the liquid crystalline nature of the human body provides further support for our model. Microtubules, DNA and the entire brain are described as communicating non-locally with virtually unlimited memory storage capacity.

INDSRecovery of Bulimia Nervosa through Near-Death Experience:
A Case Study

Janet E. Colli, Ph.D. and Thomas E. Beck, Ph.D.
Journal of Near-Death Studies, Fall 2003, Vol. 22, No. 1, pp. 33-55.

Abstract: Single case studies have lost considerable prestige since Freud's historical precedence. Yet they can provide a solid framework upon which to portray a previously unknown process. A single case study can disclose the process by which a compulsively disordered psyche successfully negotiates healing. The life-threatening medical complications and suicide attempts that are sometimes concomitant with eating disorders, specifically bulimia nervosa—sometimes lead to near-death experiences (NDEs). Various Studies will be cited as evidence for that claim. Its significance will then be explored under the auspice of a single case study. One woman's story is presented to illustrate an attempted suicide, her near-death experience, and subsequent recovery from bulimia nervosa.

Edited by Fernando Fernandes, Joaquin Fernandes, and Raul Berenguel 1st Edition in Portuguese, November 2003.

Abstract: Believers and skeptics have long pondered the identity of Our Lady of Fátima, the brilliant entity who appeared above Fátima. Was she the Virgin Mary, sharing divine secrets with believers? Was she an angel, bringing a message of peace to a world at war? Or was she an alien being, inspiring humanity to look up and contemplate the mystery of the Cosmos? An international panel of top scholars subjects the legendary apparitions of Fátima to the scrutiny of modern scientific analysis; explores the connections between encounters with apparitions, angels, and aliens; and proposes a new paradigm for such unexplained phenomena. This third volume (see below) in the acclaimed trilogy is the result of a transdisciplinary study by the Multicultural Apparitions Research International Academic Network (Project MARIAN) at the University Fernando Pessoa in Porto, Portugal.

IANDS Vital Signs
The NDE's Healing Effect on Abuse

IANDS Vital Signs

The NDE's Healing Effect on Abuse, Janet Colli and Marlene Krohner. Vital Signs article compiled from IANDS North American Conference, 2003, 22(3) pp. 7-11. At IANDS' North American conference in January, two presenters shared information on the surprisingly powerful effect the near-death experience can have on individuals subjected to childhood abuse. In one case, the NDE so changed a child's sense of self that she became capable of initiating and enforcing a halt to the abuse. Dr. Janet Colli presented the first case, drawn from her on-going research into trauma and transcendence.

Zet Message The Zeta Message: Connecting All Beings in Oneness
Janet's Foreword

August 31, 2011, Judy Carroll and Helene Kaye

From Janet Colli's Foreword: “...what makes The Zeta Message such a special story is that its authors have undertaken a practical, empirical approach to verify their claims. As such, this book is a superb example of the deeply human quest to reach outside of our limited sensory perception to fathom what lies beyond.”

The Zeta Message is a powerful, non-fiction account of an average Australian family who, in the year 2000, suddenly found themselves caught up in seemingly frightening contact involving flashing lights, and black-clad figures appearing in the middle of the night. Judy Carroll assisted this family to open up to conscious awareness as the fear barrier was gradually broken down to reveal incredible depths of love and wisdom.

India Energy108: Sacred Sanskrit Sound &
The Molecular Basis of Life

Unpublished manuscript

Abstract: The sacred number “108” is significant for both ancient Vedic tradition and modern molecular biology—at the most fundamental level of existence. This interconnection helps us understand the spiritual knowledge of the East within the context of the scientific paradigm of the West. We elaborate on the use of sound vibrations by illustrating the functioning of “108” in a meditation practice. We then elucidate specific structures and functions in molecular biology where exactly 108 microtubules, no more and no less, orchestrate cell division within the human body.

Omega ProjectAngels and Aliens:
Encounters with both Near-Death & UFOs

Janet Colli's presentation at the International Association for Near-Death Studies (IANDS) 2001 North American Conference, July 27th in Seattle, Washington.

Abstract: Social psychology research has given us comparative studies of those who have experienced either Near-Death or UFOs, such as Kenneth Ring's comparative study (The Omega Project). This presentation investigates subjects who have experienced both. What do encounters with both Near-Death and UFOs reveal about human nature and the nature of reality? From the case files of a transpersonal psychotherapist come preliminary conclusions.

What are some of the changes such subjects report? As compared to Kenneth Ring's study, significant increases in the following categories: Psycho-physical changes, Psychic or healing gifts, Kundalini scale, Value shifts (social responsibility, concern for planetary welfare).

How might their view of reality differ from someone who has had neither experience? Due to “subtle realm” intrusions into daily life, experiencers have an expanded view of physical, material reality. They tend to believe in a more fluid continuum. They also more readily believe in a multitude of beings, and more actively engage in interspecies communication.

What special challenges might arise as a result of experiencing both Near-Death & UFOs? Due to intrusions into daily life, such experiences call for a deeper level of integration, as evidenced by increased need for healing activities that extend into their livelihood.

This presentation concludes with remarks on the need for a new paradigm in science, as expressed by Harvard psychiatrist John E. Mack. Recent developments in science concerning holographic, superluminal, and non-local quantum processes are relevant. For example, the ZPF is currently theorized to be a universal holographic medium, recording the experiences of all particles. DNA is theorized to be a holographic storage medium which may provide a physiological mechanism for ND Life Reviews.
